Shop Shouga
Shop Shouga is a marketplace and social good platform. “Shouga” which translates to “marketplace” in Armenian, is just that — a marketplace where you can find Armenian goods and products. The e-commerce site features quality products curated from Armenia-based designers, artisans and boutiques. Shop Shouga’s mission is to help promote economic development in Armenia and rebuild its business sector by selling goods exclusively made in Armenia, to Armenians and non-Armenian's around the world.

When creating the brand identity for Shop Shouga, the client wanted the logo to capture the essence and nostalgia of Armenian culture with an organic element, paired with a modern typeface. The goal was to evoke a sense of quality and appeal to a multigenerational audience. The pomegranate illustrations are the organic element that represent Armenian culture, paired with a bold typeface with unique forms, similar to those found in Armenian calligraphy. Shop Shouga’s tagline is “Buy Armenian, Build Armenia” — a simple and effective call-to-action message which drives their company’s mission forward.
